Our beloved Rusty went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2024.  Our site will remain up, so visit as often as you'd like.  Rusty held firm to his profession of trust and belief in Jesus and we trust in God's mercy, that he is with the Lord.  Since God is fully alive and present with us -- that means those who have died in God's friendship, like Rusty, are more alive now than ever.  Thus, we still refer to Rusty in the present tense on most of the pages here.

Rusty is beloved the world over - if you would like to honor him, here are a few ideas:

1. Listen to and share his music.  He created it because he wants people to listen and enjoy.

2. Attend the William Lee Golden and The Goldens concert at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN on July 24 for a special show to honor Rusty.  Visit for info on tickets or tune in from home to listen live on WSM Radio at  .  And follow be sure to for more updates and details.

3. Share your Rusty story or photo with us - we'd love to hear from you. Email us at

4. Attend a William Lee Golden and the Goldens concert - it's the family band founded by Rusty's dad, William Lee Golden Sr., Rusty, and his brother Chris. Rusty loved to wear fun, colorful scarves so some people are saying they'll be wearing their own fun, colorful scarves to upcoming concerts, as a way to honor Rusty.

5. If you'd like to make a monetary donation, the family requests that donations be made to Golden Memorial Holiness Church in Rusty's memory.  (Address: Golden Memorial Holiness Church, 6103 Golden Church Rd, Jay, FL 32565) - just note that it is "in memory of Rusty Golden."
